Concert Choir (ages 7-12) This group is where some of our best mentoring occurs.  Our more experienced singers love being role models for their younger peers!  Concert Choir provides opportunities to sing different types of music and to develop that all-important stage presence.  The Concert Choir experience enhances our singers’ confidence levels, and builds teamwork among members.  Families choose the rehearsal site that is most convenient for them: Victor or Brockport.

WolfGang (Guys Only, grades 6-12)  Their repertoire ranges from classical to barbershop, with almost everything in between.  WolfGang rehearses as a separate group, but also joins the Cantorei singers for a portion of their weekly rehearsal, so they can perform four-part pieces throughout the season.

Cantorei Singers (High School Women)  Their repertoire includes pop, classical, gospel, ballads, international folksongs, and standard women’s choral literature.  Singers may join Amadeus at this level if they have had significant experience singing elsewhere.  Many of the Cantorei Singers have been in the Amadeus Chorale for more than four years.

The Amadeus Chorale Youth Singers of Rochester, NY can greatly enhance your child’s Music Education.  The Amadeus experience includes more than just singing.  Your son or daughter will build a strong foundation in musical performance, along with life-lessons that will help him or her to grow into a confident and responsible adult.  Our members range in age from pre-school through age 18, and we have openings for new singers in every choir.  We welcome new members from throughout the Greater Rochester Region, and singers from all backgrounds and experience levels are invited to join us.  Some of the skills and experiences that our members encounter include singing in foreign languages, learning choreography, discovering the historical significance of our literature, collaborating with other professional musicians, and singing in a variety of venues for a wide range of audiences.  And don’t forget sign language!  The Amadeus Chorale is Rochester’s only sign language choir!

Amadeus is more than just a Music Classroom!  We are an established music and entertainment resource in the Rochester community, and are in demand for local church and corporate events.  Our singers learn a lot “on the road!”  Our calendar of events often includes wearing costumes to sing with the New York State Ballet, singing at the Tree Lighting Ceremony for the Rochester General Hospital, and welcoming dignitaries to our area.
